Yes, System Of A Down and Faith No More are officially heading to New Zealand

System Of A Down are returning to New Zealand for their first headline show in more than a decade, with Faith No More joining them for one massive night at Wellington's HNRY Stadium.

If you were one of the many fans convinced the bands were about to announce a New Zealand tour after this weekend's cryptic teasers, congratulations, you were right. HNRY Stadium’s "🛸 2027" posts across social media, along with a billboard spotted at Wellington Airport, had fans piecing the clues together before today's announcement made it official.

After selling out stadiums across Europe this summer, including back-to-back shows in London, Paris and Warsaw, SOAD are finally heading back our way. Better yet, they're not rocking up alone. Faith No More are jumping on the bill too, making this one of the biggest rock announcements we've had in years.

The one and only Kiwi show is locked in for Sunday 7th February over Waitangi Weekend, giving rock and metal fans from all over the motu the perfect excuse to descend on Wellington.

System Of A Down don't exactly need an introduction. Toxicity is one of those albums that lives in the DNA of heavy music, and with more than 42 million albums sold worldwide, they've spent decades proving why they're one of the most explosive live bands on the planet.

Then you've got Faith No More, the legends behind tracks like Epic and Midlife Crisis, whose influence can still be heard across rock, metal and everything in between.

Honestly, seeing either of these bands in New Zealand would be massive. Getting both on the same stage? That's the sort of lineup people will be talking about for years.

General tickets go on sale from 11am on Friday 31 July, with artist presales kicking off from Tuesday 28 July for fans signed up to the System Of A Down and Faith No More mailing lists.
