We're barely a week into September, and so many great things have happened. Spring has arrived, Kmart casually dropped a vibrator, and I whipped up a bangin' sweet & sour chicken last night.
But the best so far, hands down, is the glorious return of Subway's Sub Dog.
After a two-year hiatus, Subway has brought back the Sub Dog - an item that they honestly should've never taken off the menu.
A delicious pork hotdog topped with mozzarella, tomato sauce and mustard. If you're craving a bit of nostalgia with an all-American vibe, this is the one for you.
When they arrived at work (must be nice), I tucked into a Subdog with Roasted Garlic bread, decorated with a couple of extra toppings of pickles and red onion.
Let me tell you, this was one tasty dog. The hotdog itself had a subtle smokiness, perfectly complemented by the mustard and tomato sauce combo. Trust me, it's tough to top.
It was a hit around the office too. Jacob piped up saying: "I didn't know I needed a hotdog in Subway's roasted garlic bread till now, that was legitness."
Even the big boss Baker was converted: "I'd seen Sub Dogs on the menu for years and wondered who in their right mind would order that. But now, I'm a believer. That was a legit great dog - perfect bun-to-sauce ratio, and the jalapeños (or were they pickles?) were a great touch. I'd definitely eat that again."
Slightly concerned that he couldn't tell the difference between the two, but for those wondering, they were pickles.
A couple of jalapenos on top wouldn't go amiss for the spice lovers, though.
If you are keen to grab one, they're available now, and I'm pretty confident you won't regret it x
