The Stagecoach Music Festival was temporarily evacuated on Saturday night due to extreme winds.
Videos and pictures posted to social media showed large screens behind the festival's main stage that read: "Emergency Evacuation" followed by "The festival has been postponed until further notice. Please move quickly and calmly to the nearest exit."
At around 9pm, Stagecoach social media pages posted a message sharing that "the show will resume momentarily" and that staff members were working to open the doors and prep the site for fans to return.
Lainey Wilson then delivered a compelling performance at the California country music festival. Her set was bumped back by an hour, while Riley Green and Journey saw their sets cancelled from Saturday's lineup.
Wilson brought Green out on stage for a rendition of Merle Haggard's I Think I'll Just Stay Here and Drink.
The Stagecoach Music Festival 2026 is the 19th annual instalment of the world's largest and highest-grossing country music festival, held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The three-day event takes place over the weekend immediately following the two weekends of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
In other festival news, Noah Cyrus pulled her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, on stage for a rare performance together, and Sydney Sweeney made headlines by sitting on the shoulders of her boyfriend Scooter Braun and dancing along to Ella Langley's performance of Choosin' Texas.
