Someone has made Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Californication' into a video game

"It's 2022 and I haven't seen anyone [make] the game so I challenged myself to create it."

A developer has finally turned Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Californication' into a video game!

The Californication music video dropped over 20 years ago and had a super early-playstation feel to it, which makes us wonder why it's taken so long for someone to actually turn it into a playable game.

Developer Miquel Camps Orteza is one of the many fans who "wanted to play that game so bad," so he's gone and created it himself. Legend.

"It's 2022 and i haven't seen anyone made the game so I challenged myself to create it," Develeoper Orteza said on the official website.

Orteza has selected some "epic moments" from the music video and has made 7 levels with differing mechanics.

The game doesn't contain music (probably due to copyright), but he's provided links to YouTube videos of the song and different covers if you want to listen while you play.

The Californication Game is available on Windows PC and mac0S, you can dowload it here.
