The late Sinéad O'Connor's daughter, Róisín Waters, has hinted archival music will be released "soon".

The Irish singer-songwriter died of natural causes at the age of 56 in July 2023.

On Monday, Róisín released a letter via the official Sinéad O'Connor Instagram account in which she explained that she wants to use the platform to celebrate the Nothing Compares 2 U star's legacy.

The 30-year-old also indicated that she and her brothers, Jake Reynolds and Yeshua Bonadio, have other initiatives in the works, including projects with Chrysalis Records.

"My brothers and I want these pages to be a place to celebrate Sinéad: her music, her life, and everything she meant to so many people," she wrote. "They are being managed with our full knowledge and consent. Through our family company, Deep Dana, we are actively involved in her legacy - including working with Chrysalis Records on the releases you'll hear more about soon."

In addition, Róisín explained that she and her siblings may post thoughts and memories of Sinéad on the Instagram account from "time to time".

"She was your Sinéad, and she was our mum. We'd like to make room for both," she continued. "Thank you for continuing to listen, and for the love you have shown her over the years. It means a lot to us. With love, Róisín."

Sinéad was also mother to Shane Lunny. He tragically died by suicide in January 2022 at the age of 17.

The Troy artist released her tenth and final studio album, I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss, in August 2014.
