WATCH: Sharyn Casey shows Five the 'cringe' fake radio intro she did as a kid

"I need to do this for my eight-year-old self."

Sharyn Casey got the chance to interview her "childhood heroes", 90s pop group Five, on the latest episode of the 'A Little Bit Extra' podcast, and it's a hilarious and heartwarming watch.

To kick things off, Sharyn told the guys she'd been a fan of the boy band "her entire life".

"My first CD was your debut album, my sister got it for me for Christmas, and that b*tch was listening to it before Christmas," she said.

"I was so annoyed, but it was my first CD. I've still got it at home."

Then Sharyn announced she "had to do something for her eight-year-old self".

She revealed she once "interviewed' five as a kid, recording "radio shows" at home.

"Did we actually speak to you?" Ritchie Neville asked, amazed.

"No, I was pretending in my bedroom!" Sharyn admitted. "Don't ask me to do your accents 'cause I definitely did them."

"I did an elaborate intro to the interview that I did for my pretend radio show," she explained.

"And it does involve you guys participating slightly. I introduced you guys by doing the intro of 'Slam Dunk (Da Funk)', and then you guys came in at the end with the last line."

"I love it already," replied Abz.

After the interview, Sharyn told everyone she needed "a cup of tea and lie down" after interviewing her "childhood heroes".

"That was one of the greatest moments of my entire life. They were so cool," she said. "It is never lost on me, these opportunities, and I am buzzing."
