‘A tribute to family’: New Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne documentary trailer drops

The upcoming documentary will follow the Osbourne’s move back to the UK.

Another Ozzy Osbourne documentary is coming. BBC have dropped the official trailer for their upcoming documentary Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home.

The one-hour doco was filmed over three years and promises a close, intimate look at the Osbournes as they prepare to head back to the UK for good.

Only a few seconds into the trailer, Ozzy says, “I’m so looking forward to an English summer… I can’t wait until I’m there.”

At times, the trailer plays like a modern-day follow-up to the family’s old reality TV show The Osbournes, packed with those funny, unscripted family moments between the family.

At one point, Sharon tries to claim they’re “quite normal, quite boring really,” before Ozzy instantly interjects, “I wouldn’t say we’re f**king normal!” while shouting at the dogs.

But in between laughter and chaos, the trailer shows touching, intimate moments. Sharon shares stories about Ozzy’s softer, romantic side, while Ozzy closes out the trailer saying, “I feel like I’m finally home. This is my home.”

The documentary was actually announced back in 2022 and was meant to be a series, but evolved over the years due to Ozzy’s declining health. Originally titled Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, the film was meant to come out back in August but was pulled from the schedule “to respect the family’s wishes.”

Now renamed to include Sharon in the title, the documentary is being described as “a tribute to love, legacy, and family,” and captures Sharon and Ozzy’s attempt to move back to the UK, Ozzy fighting to get fit enough for his Back to the Beginning performance, and the whole family realising that even Iron Man eventually rusts.

As Kelly puts it, “Iron Man wasn’t really made of iron.”

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on 22nd July 2025, just 17 days after his final Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park, meaning this documentary will carry even more weight.

It’s not the only Ozzy Osbourne documentary that’s coming out either. Paramount+ are set to drop Ozzy: No Escape From Now this October, which is described as an “intimate” look at the six-year journey to Ozzy’s final Black Sabbath show earlier this year.

In other news, we honoured Ozzy by putting his face on Auckland’s Sky Tower on Friday night (Sept 26), after Black Sabbath took out The Rock 2000’s #1 song this year with War Pigs.

Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home is set to drop on BBC One and iPlayer on Thursday, 2nd October (UK time), and while there's no official NZ release date, I'm sure there's a way to track it down.
