Shania Twain is rumoured to be in final talks about joining the cast of ABC's 'Beauty and the Beast' 30th celebration special.
A source has told Variety that Twain's amazing pipes are likely to be heard as she takes on the supporting role of Mrs Potts.
In case you aren't familiar with the character Mrs Potts is the castle's head housekeeper who was transformed into an enchanted teapot after the Enchantress placed a curse.
Fans are loving the thought of Shania filling the role with one fan writing: "Anything from ShaniaTwain, I am here for it. love this woman."
"Running around screaming SHANIA TWAIN AS MRS. POTTS??? for the next 2 hours," shared another excited fan.
A third hilariously joked: If Shania doesn't sing "Man, I Feel Like a Teapot" when Beast and his house are cursed, then what even are we doing here?"
Shania isn't the only famous name to be in final talks about production as 'Only Murders in the Building' actor Martin Short is also rumoured to play Lumière, the castle's outgoing and rebellious maître, who was transformed into a candelabra by the Enchantress' curse.
Variety has already revealed that the roles of Belle and the Beast will be played by Oscar winner H.E.R and Grammy winner Josh Groban.
Other supporting characters include David Alan Grier (Cogsworth), and Joshua Henry (Gaston), and the TV special will be narrated by the great EGOT winner Rita Moreno.
It is yet to be announced who will play LeFou but, I'm sure we will all be keeping a close eye on that!
The Hamish Hamilton-directed special will be filmed live and is said to feature never-before-seen musical performances that will appear on Disney+ mid-December.
Is anyone else looking forward to it as much as we are?
