It’s been a massive 2025 for the Rüfüs Du Sol boys.
Fresh off a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, four nominations at the 2025 ARIA Awards, and an entire run of sold-out shows across Australia and New Zealand, Rüfüs Du Sol have made history with the highest-selling electronic tour of all time.
The trio just wrapped up a year of touring, playing to 25,000 people at Auckland’s Outer Fields at Western Springs over the weekend.
The trio has been presented with a commemorative plaque from Live Nation and Untitled, acknowledging a record-breaking year. During their Inhale / Exhale world tour, they sold 750,000 tickets and performed to 1.5 million people worldwide across both festival and headline shows.
The Australia/New Zealand leg was particularly successful for the band, with the entire run selling out and moving more than 180,000 tickets across their shows in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland.
They became the highest-selling Australian act ever at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena and also broke the all-time venue attendance record at Auckland’s Outer Fields at Western Springs.
The tour included nearly 50 headline shows across four continents. Some of the other impressive stats included the first electronic act to headline LA’s Rose Bowl and massive sets at international festivals like Lollapalooza.
Going into 2026, the band are now celebrating this success with their biggest headline tours in South America and Europe, where demand continues with new shows just added this week in Dublin, Dusseldorf and Bologna. On this next run, they will also be playing London’s The O2, Paris’ Adidas Arena, and Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi.
This isn’t just big for the band but for the electronic music scene as a whole - proving that electronic music is alive and well right here in New Zealand, but also globally.
