Reece Walsh has caused a stir (shocker) after sharing a video of himself drinking straight from a toilet.
The former Warriors star, now with the Brisbane Broncos, posted the clip to his Snapchat, crouched over the loo and claimed the bowl of water was part of his post-match recovery routine.
“They reckon there’s a new form of recovery to recover the muscles,” Walsh says in the video.
“They reckon… toilet water, you just give it a little drink.”
With a cupped hand, Walsh scoops up four solid slurps from the bowl, leaving fans of the fullback shocked and confused.
“Always knew something was off about him,” one commenter wrote.
“Bro, this guy’s always in trouble or on the news,” another added.
Some pointed out that plumbers sometimes sip from a freshly installed toilet as a tradition - apparently, it’s a thing.
The Broncos later confirmed they’d been made aware of the video, explaining it was intended as a joke. The toilet had only just been installed at Walsh’s house and apparently hadn’t been used... If that helps.
“The video represents a poor attempt at humour posted privately by Walsh. No one should take this video seriously or act upon the advice,” the club told The Sydney Morning Herald.
Doubling down on the gag, Walsh has since updated his Instagram profile pic to an AI-generated pic of himself as a plumber.
