Pita pit is giving away 800 free feeds of their new 'Huli Huli' creation, but there's a catch

Is it worth it?

The best-tasting kai in the world is free kai, especially nowadays, when it costs heaps just to fill up the gas tank.

Luckily, Pita Pit is giving away 800 free lunches to customers on Monday the 14th, but there is a catch. To get the feed, which will be thier brand new 'Hawaiian Huli Huli' pita or salad bowl, you have to be one of the first ten customers to walk into your local store wearing a Hawaiian shirt and say to the workers "I'm here for the Huli Huli."

Sheeesh, is that worth a free feed? I guess it all depends on how good you look in a Hawaiian shirt.

The new Huli Huli (which means "constantly turned as it's cooked") pita/bowl contains glazed chicken and ham, fresh cucumber, edamame beans, red onion, grilled pineapple, feta cheese, smashed avocado and spicy mayo, sprinkled with black sesame seeds.

Every single Pita Pit store in Aotearoa is giving away the Huli Huli, but only on Monday the 14th and only to the first ten customers who say the magic words, so if you're keen you might just want to sleep in the Hawaiian shirt and boost to Pita Pit as soon as you get up.

If you're not keen on the new Huli Huli or chucking on a Hawaiian shirt, that's all good. You can just go in and try the new item. We wonder if this will cause as much beef between friends and whanau as the old pineapple on pizza debate.

The Huli Huli does sound like a pretty mean summer feed, though we'll definitely have to see how it stacks up against KFC's new Zinger 'Crunch' Burger. KFry sent us a few to try and we've gotta say, they were pretty mean - either way, summer's going to have some sick feeds.
