Fresh footage of Pearl Jam playing Oakland in November 1997 while opening for The Rolling Stones has just popped up online, and if you’re a PJ fan, we reckon it’s worth your time.

This isn’t just another dusty bootleg doing the rounds. It’s a weird little snapshot of a band in limbo.

Back then, Pearl Jam were coming off that messy Ticketmaster scrap, industry headaches everywhere, and Yield wasn’t even fully baked yet. Bit of a reset moment. Instead of headlining chaos, they’re warming up crowds for the biggest rock band on the planet and just… playing.

And you can feel it.

The clips come via YouTube channel markit aneight, dropping a handful of raw, fan-shot footage.

But the real gem? There’s also a clean, pro-shot video from the same night clocking about 13 minutes. Way sharper than your usual grainy finds, and a rare look at a phase of the band that doesn’t get much shine.

Chuck it on.
