Peabo Bryson suffers stroke

Peabo Bryson has suffered a stroke.

The American singer-songwriter is currently under medical care.

A representative for Bryson shared with Billboard, "At this time, the family requests privacy as they navigate this deeply personal moment together. The thoughts, prayers and love of friends and fans are welcomed and deeply appreciated."

Bryson, known for being the voice behind the Academy Award-winning Disney songs Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion and A Whole New World (Aladdin's Theme) with Regina Belle, has earned two Grammy wins in a career that dates back to 1978.

Over that time he's amassed a string of R&B hits including I'm So Into You, All My Love, Gimme Some Time with Natalie Cole, and the slow dance classic Tonight, I Celebrate My Love with Roberta Flack.

Bryson is married to British singer and former The 411 member Tanya Boniface. The couple married in 2010 and share a son, Robert, who was born in 2018.

Bryson also has a grown-up daughter, Linda, from a previous relationship, as well as several grandchildren.

In April 2019, it was reported that Bryson had suffered a heart attack. He has since made a full recovery.
