Patrick Swayze's Ghost is officially on Netflix!

We know what we are doing this weekend!

"The love inside, you take it with you."

While some Kiwis may have already been well aware, we have just discovered that one of our all-time favourite Patrick Swayze films (and one of our favourite movies to cry to) is officially on Netflix!

Starring Swayze, Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tony Goldwyn, Ghost is a romantic fantasy thriller, detailing the love lost - and later gained - by Molly, a woman who loses her boyfriend Sam to a stabbing incident.

But Sam doesn't just float away into oblivion like so many other ghosts do. Rather, he sticks around, solves some crimes, saves lives, and reminds Molly that she isn't totally alone anymore.

Her ghost boyfriend is here - and he's Patrick Swayze.

Released in 1990, the film was received quite well by critics and even better by audiences, eventually becoming the highest grossing film of that year.

Ghost was nominated for five Oscars, of which it won two - best supporting actress with Whoopi Goldberg and best original screenplay with Bruce Joel Rubin.

It had also been nominated for best picture, but lost out to Driving Miss Daisy.

Ghost is streaming on Netflix now.
