WATCH: Ozzy Osbourne fights tears as women’s choir sings ‘Changes’

His daughter Kelly organised a surprise performance of their hit song.

Days after the devastating passing of Ozzy Osbourne, his daughter Kelly Osbourne has broken her silence with an emotional tribute.

She shared on her Instagram story a black screen, with the lyrics to ‘Changes’: “I feel unhappy, I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had 💔.”

It feels fitting, then, to look back at the time in 2018, when Kelly took Ozzy to see the St. Louis Women’s Choir perform their song in an episode of ‘Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour.’

The Black Sabbath original was revised three decades after its release by Kelly and Ozzy, so this was a very special moment for the pair.

As the piano plays the opening to ‘Changes’, Ozzy immediately says an adoring “ohhh” while the family sits down to watch.

You could feel how emotional it was going to be already.

The choir sang beautifully together, and neither Kelly nor Ozzy could hold back the feelings it stirred up.

As the choir starts with “I feel unhappy, I am so sad,” the tears well up in Kelly’s eyes immediately.

Then Ozzy, with his lip quivering, puts his arm around Kelly, who is past the point of fighting her tears.

They share a heartwarming embrace, with their heads resting against each other.

Reflecting on it later, Kelly said “the song stands for so much” to her and Ozzy.

“It was not only both of our first #1 in the UK, but it represented a time in my life, a time in dad’s life, it represents our relationship, how much we love each other.”

Ozzy couldn’t believe how incredible the performance was: “The St Louis Women’s Choir were bloody amazing.”

He even admitted that he was “trying to hold the tears back” and that it was “very emotional”, describing the choir as “a room full of angels.”

What an awesome moment that Kelly will clearly hold close to her heart forever.
