The 2026 BRIT Awards happened in Manchester over the weekend, and the biggest moment of the night belonged to one man. Ozzy Osbourne.

Held at the Co-op Live arena, the ceremony honoured the late Black Sabbath frontman with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award.

The tribute kicked off with a video package, including a message from Dolly Parton, who said: “Ozzy Osbourne dedicated his entire life to music and his legacy has left a permanent imprint in the fabric of music lovers everywhere. Now talk about stealing the show.”

She added: “Ozzy knew how to get your attention with his love of theatrics, his musical gifts - he could turn any occasion into a full-blown show. And at his very core, Ozzy Osbourne was a showman.”

Host Jack Whitehall introduced the award as going to “one of the most iconic rock stars to ever walk the planet,” before Sharon and Kelly Osbourne took the stage to accept the award.

“I wish he was here to accept it himself so you've got the booby prize, you've got me doing it,” Sharon said. “Ozzy was authentic. He was gifted. Totally unpredictable. A wild man. He was a true artist.”

She reflected on his 56-year career, his working-class Birmingham roots, and thanked the fans, crew, and musicians who stood by him, as well as those who lined the streets of Birmingham during his funeral last year.

Kelly kept it short and sweet, telling the crowd: “Thank you for loving my father as much as we do,” before cheekily shouting “Birmingham Forever!” in a Manchester arena, which earned her a playful round of boos.

To cap it off, an all-star band featuring Robbie Williams, Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo, Adam Wakeman and Tommy Clufetos tore through “No More Tears.” Wylde was back on the guitar parts he played on the 1991 original. How good.

There will never be another Ozzy Osbourne. And nights like this are exactly why.
