Ozzfest is officially returning in 2027, with three massive shows locked in across the UK, US and Mexico, bringing Ozzy Osbourne's legendary metal festival back for the first time since 2018.
After months of teasing from the Osbourne family, the news is finally out. And while Ozzy won't be there to lead the charge, his legacy is getting another well-deserved run.
The festival kicks off on July 10th at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England, before heading across the pond to California's Glen Helen Amphitheatre on September 11th.
The final stop is Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros on September 18th.
Sharon Osbourne, who co-founded the festival, says keeping Ozzfest alive is about more than just putting on a few gigs.
"Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival,” she says. “And Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy.”
Fair enough, too.
Ozzfest first kicked off in 1996 after Ozzy was snubbed by Lollapalooza. It went on to become a massive platform for emerging metal and nu-metal bands, helping launch some of the biggest names in heavy music.
The full 2027 lineups are still under wraps, but early 'Bat Tickets' go on sale Friday, November 6 at 10am local time for each venue.
No New Zealand date announced, unfortunately. Might be time to start checking those airfares.
