Our very own Nickson from the Mai Morning Crew is now a dad! He and his beautiful wife, Sarah, have welcomed their son, Atoa Teddy Nickson-Clark, into the world.
This morning, Tegan, Fame, and Storme caught up with Nickson as he shared this exciting news with the Mai whānau.
“Guys guys guys. Oi I’m a Daddy,” Nickson told the team.
“Got a beautiful son that is sitting by my wife at the moment, so I came out to talk with you guys. But you know he was born a little bit early, a little bit pre-mature, but his Samoan genes kicked in and he’s at the right weight that he doesn’t need to be in an incubator,” he shared.
He also shared about the moment Sarah’s water broke.
“Honestly, the water breaking thing is like next level aye. Quite messy”.
Nickson said it was around 2 am and that they were just lying in bed when it happened.
“Then Sarah yelled at me saying, ‘my water is broken’, I didn’t know what to do. I panicked”, Nickson said.
“A bit of a journey, but it’s good. It’s a buzzy feeling .For anybody that’s had a kid, that moment you see your partner give birth and you see your son or your daughter, man it is next level. It’s a new level of love. Like I can’t believe it,” Nickson reflected back.
Fame then asked the big question.
“You’re pretty staunched with your tears, were there any tears?” Fame asked.
To which Nickson confessed, “Nah bro I was a mess man,”.
We couldn’t be happier for you koro and we can’t wait to meet lil bubba Atoa.
