NZ Bull survives after being swept 80km down a river and waterfall

The 18-month-old Hereford bull was swept away due to the extreme rain and flooding in the West Coast.

Believe it or not, this story isn't bullshit.

An NZ bull survived after being swept through a river and down a waterfall on an 80km adventure earlier this month.

The 18-month-old Hereford bull was swept away due to the extreme rain and flooding in the West Coast, and found himself in the Maruia River, before going over the 10-meter-high Maruia Falls (holy sh*t), into the Buller River, under O'Sullivan's Bridge and nearly out to sea, Stuff reports.

Helluva journey for anyone, let alone a bull.

The bull's owner, Tony Peacock, unfortunately lost two other bulls in the flood, while his neighbour lost 74 cows, and many more farmers were affected by the extreme weather.

About a week later, Peacock got a call telling him that his bull had been found by a farmer in Westport, about 80kms from Peacock's farm.

"I rang [the farmer who found the bull] and he said he was getting his cows in in the morning when he heard a bit of rustling in the blackberry and a Hereford bull poked his head out," Peacock said.

What an absolute legend of a bull.
