There be some grunge-vs-hair-metal beef on the rock barbeque between Nikki Sixx and Eddie Vedder right now.
The Mötley Crüe bassist and songwriter has labelled Pearl Jam as "one of the most boring bands in history" after Eddie Vedder dissed his band in a recent interview with The New York Times.
In the interview, Vedder recalled one of his old gigs at a club in the 1980s, during which he would often work shows by metal bands that he "despised".
For those wondering what 'vacous' means - it's defined as "having or showing a lack of thought or intelligence; mindless".
And just a side note from us - saying "I'm trying to be nice" and then saying "F you, I hate your band" (paraphrasing) - that's not exactly being nice. But lol.

Vedder's quote quickly got round to Sixx, and the hair-metal rocker responded to the Pearl Jam frontman's diss with a brutal diss of his own.
And for the record - we don't despise Mötley Crüe or their music, and Pearl Jam is definitely the furtherest thing away from being the most boring band in the world. It just sounds like two old boys rediscovering that 'zero fucks to give' phase of their lives and reigniting the grunge vs hair, 80s vs 90s rock feud.
But fuckin aye, bring the popcorn, take a seat and let's see where this one goes.
