A new Jackass movie has officially been announced, with Johnny Knoxville confirming the crew are heading back to cinemas in June 2026.

Knoxville dropped the news on Instagram over the weekend, posting: “Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang. We wanted to let you know that this summer Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come but wanted you to hear it from us first!!”

It’ll be the first proper Jackass outing since Jackass Forever landed in 2022, which itself was a comeback after a 12-year gap. Safe to say, a lot’s happened in that time.

Steve-O, once the wildest bloke in the room, has been sober since 2008 after an intervention from his mates. These days he’s running the successful Wild Ride! podcast, chatting with everyone from Mark Wahlberg to Post Malone.

Bam Margera’s relationship with Jackass is a lot messier. He was fired from Jackass Forever in 2021 for breaching the film’s wellness policy, later sued his former co-stars, and even challenged Knoxville to a bare-knuckle fight.

Margera has since said you “couldn’t pay him enough money” to do another Jackass, making his return extremely unlikely.

Knoxville’s gone full actor mode, earning praise for Sweet Dreams and popping up in Seth Rogen’s The Studio. He’s also spoken openly about losing Ryan Dunn in 2011, calling it “crushing” and something the crew will deal with forever.

Elsewhere, Wee Man keeps busy skating, selling merch, and popping up on Steve-O’s podcast. Chris Pontius has moved to Norway and reshared Knoxville’s announcement, while Dave England did the same, suggesting a few familiar faces are still very much in the mix.

However it shapes up, Jackass being back feels like catching up with old mates who probably shouldn’t be trusted near fireworks anymore. June can’t come soon enough.
