Netflix drops trailer for 'Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes'

The doco-series will reveal never-heard-before voice recordings of yet another serial killer.

Netflix has just dropped the trailer for their latest instalment of 'Conversations with a Killer,' and we already can't wait to binge it.

The first series, 'Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes' was released on Netflix in 2019, and shone a light on one of America's most notorious serial killers, Ted Bundy.

In a chilling new chapter of the series, titled 'Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes,' the doco will follow a similar style, and will reveal never-heard-before voice recordings of yet another serial killer.

So who is John Wayne Gacy?

According to the trailer, he was an aspiring politician, a local-contractor, and a part-time clown. Oh, and a serial killer.

The trailer also reveals that John Gacy "dined with the powerful and preyed on the vulnerable. Beneath a smiling exterior was the horrifying darkness of a sadistic serial killer."

Gacy murdered 33 young men between 1972 to 1976, and most of his victims were found buried under his house.

The doco-series creators have unearthed 60 hours of audio between Gacy and his defence team, giving us a "fresh perspective on the narcissistic mindset of the murderer and a deeper understanding of how he operated for so long with impunity," according to Netflix.

It's rumoured that Gacy was one of the true crime stories that inspired the creaton of Pennywise from IT - which is absolutely terrifying.

All episodes of 'Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes' will be available to watch on Netflix on April 20th.
