The supernatural series Wednesday is returning to Netflix screens.
On Saturday (NZT) Netflix ANZ posted to Twitter saying there will be a second season for Tim Burton's spin-off of the classic Addams Family franchise, posting a trailer of the 'misery' and 'mayhem that awaits'.
The renewed season comes after the first season was a hit, being added to Netflix's shelves on November 23 and very quickly becoming one of the streamer's most popular shows.
The show became Netflix's second-most streamed series of all time, bumping Dahmer from its second place title, and keeping Stranger Things Season 4 the most streamed series.
The horror comedy series follows the character Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, being in her first years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability while trying to solve a supernatural mystery that has haunted the Addams family for decades.
The show drew much attention and many great reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes giving the first season 71 percent and IMDb giving it an 8.3/10.
Date and details on when the second season will be released are yet to be announced.
