The Netflix algorithm helps guide our viewing habits based on your viewing history and ratings through 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' buttons.
But now they're going to the next level to help match us to more of the movies and TV shows we love.
They noted that in order to tailor to you, they needed to create a more complex way to register reactions based on if you liked a show or really really liked a show. The 'double thumbs up' will be used to 'fine-tune' suggestions, If a viewer enjoyed Bridgerton, for example, they will see additional television episodes and movies featuring the cast or produced by Shondaland.
The new feature began rolling out from April 12th across their TV, Andriod, & iOS apps as well as their web service.
