Dr. Michelle Dickinson who's also known as Nanogirl and husband Joe Davis have announced the arrival of their twins - Marlow and Kaia.
"@joepfdavis and I are delighted to welcome Marlow & Kaia into the world" Nanogirl wrote along with an adorable photo of her twins.
"Two perfect, happy & healthy new members of our wha¯nau, and the start of the most wonderful - and long awaited - new chapter in our lives," she added.
"Our hearts are so full of love and gratitude and we are excited to start our next adventure together ??".
Congratulations have poured in for the couple from their friends, families and well-wishers.
In a recent chat with Woman's Day,Nanogirl opened up about their long "difficult" journey to pregnancy.
"We've tried for many years to start a family of our own, but that journey has been a difficult one. It's funny in a way – you spend most of your young adult life trying not to get pregnant, only to find that when you meet your person, it might not be as easy as you thought," she told Woman's Day.
"Thanks to a lot of help from science, Joe and I couldn't be more thrilled to be welcoming twins in a couple of months," she added.
After their seventh IVF round had failed, she shared feeling "physically and emotionall broken" and reaching a point of exhaustion.
And as heartbreaking as it is, they had a difficult conversation,
"We had the conversation – it was time to accept defeat" she said.
"We took a year off to look into all of our options – adoption, surrogacy, egg donation etc – and in the end decided we were going to throw everything at it for one more try."
"Our twins are the product of all the love in the world and, fittingly for the Nanogirl theme, a whole lot of science too. We are so grateful to the doctors, nurses, embryologists, friends and family who've helped us on this journey".
Congratulations Nanogirl and Joe!
