Train Options (Kingsland Station)

The newly opened City Rail Link (CRL) makes getting to Kingsland Station (a short walk fromEden Park) much faster with direct routing options:

  • From East Auckland & Onehunga: For the first time, you can travel directly to Kingsland without changing lines via the new East West Line.

  • From the CBD: Frequent trains to Kingsland run via the East West Line out of Waitematā (Britomart), Te Waihorotiu, and Karanga-a-Hape stations.

  • From West Auckland: Travel directly to Kingsland from Henderson on the Onehunga West Line or from Swanson via the East West Line.

  • From South Auckland: Board the Southern Line from your nearest station (such as Papakura, Puhinui, or Manurewa) heading toward the city center. Transfer at Waitematā (Britomart) or Karanga-a-Hape stations directly onto the new East West Line. Ride the East West Line straight to Kingsland Station, which is right outside the Eden Park gates.

Bus Options

  • North Shore Special-Event Buses: Dedicated event buses will operate directly from Albany Bus Station via the Northern Busway stations starting at 3:00 PM, running roughly every 10 minutes.

  • Regular Bus Routes: Central City lines like the 22R, 22N, 24B, 24R, and 20 drop off within a 5-to-10-minute walk of the stadium gates.

Heads-Up for Heading Home

Because the venue and match timings were locked in at relatively short notice, Auckland Transport has noted there will be fewer extra post-match event trains than typical major events. While extra buses will be injected into the network to help clear the city after the final whistle, you should plan ahead for queues and expect the journey home to take a little longer than getting there.
