‘PURE GLORY’: Muse release their first song in three years and fans are stoked

The tune ‘Unravelling’ is said to “put a new spin on the genre-clash creativity”.

For the first time since 2022, Muse have dropped a banging new tune, and fans are bloody pumped.

The song ‘Unravelling’ was released with a corresponding lyric video, which has climbed to almost 500k views in three days.

Muse describes the song, which blends EDM with metal, as putting a spin on the “genre-clash creativity that has become a hallmark of the Muse experience.

“Haunting, arpeggiated synths establish a foreboding tone before it suddenly detonates into a colossal wall of barbed riffs and unleashing a full-drama hook that pulsates with their renowned maximalist theatricality.”

Fans in the comments, as always, were quick to share their thoughts.

“That breakdown riff needs to be extended for the album, it’s too good to be that short!” said one fan.

Another made their feelings very clear: “MUSE + METAL = PURE GLORY!”

Lots of commenters felt as though this felt like the ‘old’ Muse, but one fan thinks that it “feels like the culmination of Muse’s styles, and I’m all for it.”

This song put me in absolute BLISS!

We have to give flowers to song producer Dan Lancaster, who collaborated on ‘Bring Me the Horizon’ and has been performing     as a live member of Muse since 2022. He did one heck of a job.

This new material is expected to feature on their tenth studio album that is yet to be announced.

Currently on their 2025 Summer European tour, Muse have been using ‘Unravelling’ as a set opener.

We love to see it Muse, but what’s next…
