One mum has flown all the way from New Zealand to the United States to surprise her son for his first playoff match in the North American rugby league.
The rugby union team, the New England Free Jacks, posted a video of the special moment between their player, Malakai Hala-Ngatai, and his mum.
Sharing on Instagram, they wrote:
"It's hard for players from all over the world to be so far from home, making reunions like these all the more special.
@m.ngatai's mom flew across the world to see her son start his first playoff match as a Free Jack ??".
The video shows Malakai's mum walking up to his son and tapping him on his shoulder, and the look on him says it all.
It then gets really emotional as tears well up in his eyes as they hug.
"I had a feeling you're coming," Malakai tells his mum before going in for another hug.
Nothing's better than having your family, especially your parents by your side on your big day.
Looking at the hugs, you know it made his day, and he really needed that hug!
Who's cutting onions here?
