Move aside 'Zoey 101', the hit Nickelodeon show is getting a 'Zoey 102' reboot with the og cast

Will this be Zoey and Chase's happy ending?

Our childhood prayers have been answered and it is officially confirmed that we will be getting a follow-up to the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101, and omg it's going to be a movie!

After 15 years the show that ran for just four seasons featuring Jamie Lynn Spears is getting its revival and is rumoured to be titled Zoey 102 - fitting, right?!

Lead actress Jamie Lynn Spears announced the news in an Instagram post alongside the caption: "IT'S OFFICIAL! Are you ready.."

The original series told the story of the first female students joining the previously all-male boarding school Pacific Coast Academy. There was lots of drama, laughs and of course budding romances along the way.

Now, 'Zoey 102' is said to be getting the gang back together, reuniting for a wedding. Whose? We're not 100% sure of rn, but I sure hope it's finally Zoey and Chase's happy ending!

I mean it is possible because back in 2015, to mark the 10th anniversary of the show, creator Dan Schneider released a clip of Chase finally watching the long-awaited confession of love DVD that Zoey locked away in the 'Time Capsule' episode.

"I'm beyond thrilled to be back alongside my PCA family and continue the story of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love," Spears said in a statement about the revival film.

According to Entertainment Weekly, many of the original cast is set to feature in the film, including Zoey (Jamie Lynn Spears), Quinn (Erin Sanders), Chase (Sean Flynn), Logan (Matthew Underwood), Michael (Christopher Massey), Stacey (Abby Wilde) and Mark (Jack Salvatore).

Those said not to feature in the upcoming film is Nickelodeon's it girl Victoria Justice, who played Lola in the series before going on to be incredibly successful in her role as Tori in 'Victorious'. Austin Butler who briefly starred in the show as Zoey's love interest James also won't be making an appearance. I guess he's too busy soaking in the fame of playing Elvis, but who can blame him?

It's safe to say that we're all very excited to see one of our childhood faves come back to our screens after all these years.

The film will stream exclusively on Paramount+, but we're hoping to get our eyes on it here in NZ not long after!
