Morrissey cancels Las Vegas residency

Morrissey has quietly cancelled his residency in Las Vegas just one week before it was due to start.

The reason for the cancellation has so far not been announced.

The British singer-songwriter and former Smiths frontman was scheduled to perform four shows at Wynn Las Vegas between 14 and 19 August.

Just a week before the first show was scheduled, entertainment outlet Consequence reported that the entire four-show residency had been canned.

A statement on the Ticketmaster page for the four Las Vegas shows reads, "Unfortunately, the Event Organiser has had to cancel your event."

As of today, the rest of the shows Morrissey has on the books for September through December, including dates across the US and in Europe, remain scheduled.

The singer's ditched residency marks the latest in a series of cancellations.

In January, Morrissey, who released his latest studio album Make-Up Is a Lie on 6 March, axed his first scheduled concert of 2026 in California due to "an adverse reaction to a prescription medication".

In March, the singer announced that he would not be appearing onstage for a show in Valencia, Spain, due to his hotel being an "indescribable hell" that left him "unable to rest".
