MOHI, Jordyn With A Why, & HOPE join forces to take Te Reo Māori To The World

Some of the finest homegrown talent in Aotearoa is taking our language, culture, and sound GLOBAL! MOHI, Jordyn with a Why, and HOPE have officially joined forces as "4 The Masses" to launch their massive international campaign, Reo Māori is Global.

They're taking te reo Māori to England's capital for 'Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2026'.

"4 The Masses" are heading over to London with two main goals:

• Recording at Abbey Road Studios: The trio will record covers in reo Māori, plus originals at the world’s most iconic studio alongside London-based kapa haka rōpū Ngāti Rānana.

• Pacific Tavern Showcase: A live performance in the heart of London to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, showcasing fresh new music: including MOHI’s new album, Jordyn’s EP, and a brand-new single from HOPE.

But before heading off, the crew are hitting the road right here in Aotearoa, touring Kura Kaupapa and doing Wānanga. The goal is to inspire the next generation of reo speakers!

"In order to be global, you gotta be local!" says Jordyn with a Why. The trio is drawing inspiration from kiwi legends who have paved the way globally before them, like Dame Hinewehi Mohi, Pātea Māori Club, Marlon Williams, and Alien Weaponry.

If you’re on TikTok or IG, you've probably come across at least one of their reo Māori renditions where they've racked up over 6.4 million views:

• MOHI previously blew up with his reo version of Loyle Carner's "Ottolenghi," leading to him sharing the stage with Loyle at Auckland Town Hall.

• Jordyn with a Why caught the eye of UK superstar Olivia Dean after her Reo Māori cover of Olivia's track "Man I Need", accumulating over 3 million views alone.

• Hope and Jordyn with a WHY recently came through to the Mai Studio and blessed us with their reo version of 'A Couple Minutes' by Olivia Dean too!
