To celebrate Princess Lilibet’s fourth birthday, the Duchess of Sussex shared a throwback video of herself twerking through contractions while pregnant with her daughter.
Taken in the hospital delivery room, Meghan and Prince Harry filmed a TikTok trend where expecting parents dance to Cameron Henderson’s song ‘Baby Mama’.
“This happened four years ago today,” Meghan wrote in the caption. “Both of our babies arrived a week late… so after trying spicy food, walking, and acupuncture with no luck, this was our last-ditch effort!”
The post followed several intimate family moments shared by the Duchess in honour of Lilibet’s birthday.
Among them was a black-and-white photo of Meghan holding her daughter on her lap.
Another shows a tender moment shortly after Lilibet’s birth in 2021, with Meghan cradling her as a newborn.
She also shared a touching photo of baby Lilibet looking up at Harry, and a beachside shot of him holding her hand as they walk barefoot through palm trees.
“The sweetest bond to witness,” Meghan added. “Daddy’s little girl and favourite adventurer. Happy birthday, Lili!”
Mindful of her daughter’s privacy, Meghan often posts photos showing Lilibet from behind.
However, in one new image, fans get a partial glimpse of her face – her eyes peeking out as Meghan embraces her closely.
During a recent episode of her podcast, ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’, Meghan chatted with Tina Knowles (Beyoncé’s mother) and mentioned the idea of one day starting a business with Lilibet.
“I wonder if we’ll build something together,” she mused, to which Knowles replied: “That’s the best.”
Lilibet is named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II, who was affectionately called “Lilibet” as a child by her family – a nickname born from her own mispronunciation of “Elizabeth” and lovingly adopted by her grandfather, King George V.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor is the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. She became a princess when her grandfather, King Charles III, ascended the throne. Her older brother, Prince Archie, is now six.
