Meghan, Duchess of Sussex may return to acting after she and Prince Harry move back to the U.K. with their children.
The former Suits actress has reportedly been "offered a role in an upcoming project based in the UK", according to news.com.au.
Appearing on BBC Radio 4's Today on Friday, the Australian outlet's royal correspondent Bronte Coy said the acting role played a big part in the royal couple's decision to move back to Harry's home country.
"This is such a key part of the puzzle," she shared. "I think when we all heard that news that Harry and Meghan were moving here, and within a matter of days, and the kids were enrolled in school, everyone was asking, what is Meghan going to be doing?"
Of the acting role, Coy added, "I'm told it's significant, and she's very excited about it."
Further details about the alleged project have yet to be disclosed, however, it would mark Meghan's most significant acting role since leaving Suits in 2018, the same year she married Harry.
The report comes days after it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were returning to the U.K. later this month after spending six years in California. Their children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, have reportedly been enrolled in schools in England, beginning in September.
According to reports, the move is not intended to be permanent, and the family will keep their California home while living in a private, non-royal residence in the U.K.
As an actress, Meghan was best known for playing Rachel Zane on the legal drama Suits between 2011 and 2018. After marrying Harry, she left her acting career behind, however, she filmed her first on-screen movie appearance last year.
She will make a cameo as herself in the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends, starring Brie Larson, Lily Collins and Jack Quaid.
