Megan Thee Stallion splits with Klay Thompson amid cheating accusations

Megan Thee Stallion has called it quits with basketball player Klay Thompson after nearly a year together.

The Mamushi rapper accused Thompson of cheating in a scathing social media post on Saturday.

"Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house... got 'cold feet'," she wrote.

"Holding you down through all your horrible mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season. Now you don't know if you can be 'monogamous'?"

"Bitch I need a real break after this one. Bye y'all," she closed.

"I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward," Megan shared with Page Six in a statement.

"I'm taking this time to prioritise myself and move ahead with peace and clarity."

Megan was first linked to the Dallas Mavericks star in July after eagle-eyed fans noticed she featured Thompson in the background of one of her social media snaps.

Later that month, she gushed to Page Six about her new boyfriend as the pair made their red carpet debut at the rapper's inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala

"I have never dated somebody so kind," she told the outlet.

"This is my first relationship where I've ever been with somebody who's genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy. I just never dated somebody like him before, and I'm just grateful that he's here by my side, and he feels the same way about me."

In October, the couple teased that they had taken the next step in their relationship by purchasing a home together.
