Maren Morris has revealed that she received a "spam" invitation to the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The country singer has divulged that she was sent a fake invite via text message while awaiting official details about the couple's upcoming nuptials, and immediately suspected it was not genuine.

Speaking on SiriusXM's Morning Mash Up podcast, Maren shared that she quickly dismissed the message.

"I wish (I had information to share)," she said of the wedding. "I got this, like, spam text a couple weeks ago. It was like, 'You're invited to Taylor and Travis' wedding.'"

"I was like, 'I'm blocking this,' 'cause there's no way they would send an invitation through a text like this," the 36-year-old continued. "What if I trashed (the actual one)? I was like, 'How do they have my number? This is weird.'"

Taylor, also 36, and Maren have been friends for several years, with Maren previously sharing that the Cruel Summer singer had been "so supportive" of her career.

The pair have also collaborated musically, working together on You All Over Me (From The Vault) from the 2021 album Fearless (Taylor's Version). They performed the song during The Eras Tour in 2023, and Maren sang her own track, The Middle, during Taylor's Reputation tour in 2018.

Taylor and Kansas City Chiefs player Travis, 36, got engaged in August 2025 after around two years of dating. The couple have yet to share official details about their wedding plans.

However, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in October 2025, Taylor said she hoped to begin planning the event after completing promotion for her album, The Life of a Showgirl.

"I think the wedding is what happens after that in the scheme of the planning, but I'm so excited about it," she explained at the time. "I know it's gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble."
