The last season of 'Married at First Sight Australia' might still be living rent-free in our heads, but it looks like we can already start getting emotionally invested in a brand new bunch of brides and grooms.
Filming for 2026 is already underway, and the names set to tie the knot in TV’s wildest social experiment have started to leak.
According to Sky News, producers are taking a fresh approach this time around. They've casted more “everyday Aussies” looking for "genuine love".
In recent years, the show’s been dragged for recruiting singles with secret partners or for casting "influencer types" who seem more interested in Instagram followers than actual love.
“This cast feels real,” one source spilled. "This time, the cast, the experts, even the tone. It actually feels different.”
Who are the brides and grooms on 'MAFS AU' 2026?
Daniel Hewitt
Daily Mail Australia say his mates describe him as having "a real swagger about him".
"He's confident, sharp, and always up for a good time. Definitely not the shy type."
“He’s not afraid of the spotlight,” an anonymous 'MAFS' crew member told the outlet. “Exactly what we want.”
Ankita Karungalekar and Micah Lomu
Ankita might be part of the “everyday Aussies” refresh, but she’s already a familiar face across the ditch.
The freelance sports presenter has covered everything from the Men’s Test to Women’s ODI for Cricket Australia.
She’s also been a part of pageants, finishing as runner-up in Miss India Australia 2019 and as a Miss World Australia finalist the following year.
She’s paired with finance broker Micah Lomu, who’s kept things pretty low-key so far.
Famous 'MAFS' wedding crasher Josh Fox managed to catch him during filming and reckons he seems like a nice guy.
Rebecca 'Bec Zac' Zacharia
Bec is also still a bit of a mystery, but her private Insta bio reads: “Committed to being a full-time legend.”
Honestly, the energy is already waving green flags.
Scott McCristal and Gia Fleur
Scott’s no stranger to reality TV. He’s already had a crack on Aussie shows 'Million Dollar Island' and 'Holey Moley'.
He’s been matched with Gia Fleur, who producers are calling “the wildest bride in 'MAFS' history”.
The classic tells it like it is, and couldn’t care less what anyone thinks type.
"She's wild, sure, but she's also incredibly caring and protective of the people she loves," a close friend of hers told Daily Mail. "She's been through a lot, and she's unapologetically herself."
Rebecca Zukowski
“She's a no-nonsense kind of woman. She says what everyone else is too scared to say," an insider told Daily Mail.
"She's going to make incredible television," they added referring to an alleged fiery outburst on set, accusing her bridesmaid of trying to upstage her on her big day.
'MAFS AU' 2026 is looking like it’ll be just as explosive as the seasons before. I, for one, can’t wait!
