Madonna has been forced to withdraw from her London Pride performance over reported safety concerns.

The Queen of Pop had been rumoured to be making a surprise performance on the main stage at Trafalgar Square.

However, organisers of the event had to issue a statement to clarify that the 67-year-old wouldn't be performing but would instead just speak to the crowd.

Madonna has just released her 15th studio album, Confession II, which has gained critical acclaim, with many calling it her best work in a decade. It's the sequel to her 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor.

The album is made with producer Stuart Price, and features collaborations with Sabrina Carpenter, Martin Garrix, Feid, Stromae and Lola Leon.

The album has 16 tracks. To celebrate its release, she made a 10-minute film which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. The short film starred Kate Moss, Benedict Cumberbatch and footballer Cole Palmer. It is available on Madonna's YouTube Channel.

It's been rumoured there is a duet with Kylie Minogue in the works. She has also revealed there are 8 songs she didn't finish for the project, which she hopes to release at some point.
