'Love Island UK': Curtis Pritchard’s grim tea about vaping and loos in the villa

A man with short dark hair, a beard, and blue eyes smiles broadly, showing his teeth, while wearing a light-colored t-shirt and a gold chain. A black microphone is positioned in the foreground to his right.

I’ve just learned some absolutely gob-smacking tea about the living conditions in the ‘Love Island Villa’ - and it’s kinda grim.

During an interview on the ‘Private Parts Podcast’, Curtis Pritchard was asked how the food situation works during filming - because it’s not often that we see the Islanders eating a proper sit-down meal.

He admitted that he’s still getting used to British food now - a month post villa - because the South African meals took a toll on his stomach.

“You know, when you get a bad belly in South Africa, it’s quite common,” he said. “We were bad… glued to the toilets left, right, and centre.”

Turns out, the villa only has TWO toilets for sometimes over 12 Islanders living in the villa at one time.

Curtis says they split them up - girls downstairs, guys upstairs - smart move.

There’s also a portaloo outside, but Curtis said it was a risky situation if you need to go at night.

“It has no light in it, nothing. So at nighttime when you’re going toilet, you are praying, you say a little prayer and hoping it’s [pee] going in.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Curtis revealed that he was celebrated for not vaping.

“I walked in, and the first thing they asked was, ‘Do you vape?’ When I said no, they all cheered," he said.

“The reason they all cheered is that there is a vape queue. You’re only allowed one person out at a time.”

“So they’d all go out, and there was a massive queue,” he added.

He also said Islanders would get in trouble just for huddling while waiting to sneak out for a hoon.

Honestly, the cameras are missing out on prime TV here – those interactions could have been gold.

It’s giving the old smoker's corner in the show and we all know that's where we’d get all the hottest goss.
