Lorde shocks fans by crashing club night dedicated to her in Sydney

I'd still be recovering from this.

The biggest dream for Lorde fans became a reality when she crashed a themed club night inspired by the ‘What Was That’ singer’s upcoming 'Virgin' album.

A bunch of stunned punters at Mary’s Underground in Sydney were shocked when Lorde actually rocked up in the flesh over the weekend.

Phones were out. Screams were loud. Drinks were probably spilled.

“We’re officially in the L4 era, so it’s only right we throw a party for our true Lorde and saviour!” the club wrote on Instagram.

The $10–$15 ticketed event, which promised a night of DJ sets, drag performances, and a playlist stacked with Lorde bangers, quickly turned into an impromptu meet-and-greet.

One TikToker managed to capture the moment a couple of fans realised they were partying it up next to the kween herself.

Lorde didn’t just lurk in a corner either. She was in the crowd, dancing, singing along to her own songs, snapping selfies with fans, and even jumped behind the decks.

Honestly, some of the POVs gave me major FOMO.

“Lorde crashed my party 😭,” DJ Emma Parke wrote on Instagram.

The clip shows the pair behind the decks as Emma spun Lorde’s latest track ‘What Was That’, before they embraced in a big ol’ hug - goals, honestly.

Honestly, all those die-hard fans totally deserved a surprise like this for staying out late on a school night. Iconic behaviour all round.
