Lindsay Lohan 'hurt and disappointed' by 'crotch' joke aimed at her in new 'Mean Girls' movie

Tina Fey, you've got some explaining to do!

Lindsay Lohan confirms she was "hurt" after the new 'Mean Girls' film poked fun at her party-girl lifestyle.

The original 'Mean Girls' star has reacted to a joke about her in the new musical adaption of the 2004 film.

In the rebooted movie, Cady, who was originally played by Lindsay, but is now played by Angourie Rice, appears in a talent show. One character says: "We are going back red. Y2K fire crotch is back."

The line is thought to be a reference to a comment made by oil heir Brandon Davis in 2006, when he referred to Lindsay in a video to TMZ as "fire crotch."

"Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film," Lindsay's rep told People earlier this week.

It's reported that Lindsay didn't know about the joke, and was surprised when she attended a screening last week, alongside the writer of the movie, Tina Fey.

Lindsay was the only OG 'Plastic' to appear in the new film, despite reuniting with her former co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert on a Mean Girls-themed advertisement for Walmart late last year.

The hilarious video saw the three actresses reprise their roles as grown-ass adults.

Cady Heron returns as a guidance counsellor while Karen Smith remains a weather reporter and Gretchen Wieners is a hands-on mother - a story line we would have LOVED to see continue into this musical remake.

Loads of other actors who played smaller parts in the original film, such as Rajiv Surendra (Kevin Gnapoor) and Daniel Franzese (Damian Leigh), also made an appearance.

I guess we're going to have to wait for a third reboot to see the whole crew back together... Can they please just give the people what they want?
