Limp Bizkit have shared a moving tribute video honouring their late bassist Sam Rivers, giving fans a chance to celebrate the life of one of the band's founding members.
The tribute was first shown before the band's first concert following Rivers' death in October last year, a moment that hit hard for both the band and the thousands of fans in attendance. Now, they've made the video available for everyone to watch.
Rivers passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, aged 48. His death came just as Limp Bizkit were about to begin a run of shows, leaving a massive hole in a band he'd helped build from the ground up more than three decades earlier.
For drummer John Otto, it was a moment he never imagined having to face.
"Today is going to be tough. A first I never wanted to experience. Especially not now," Otto wrote before that first show without his lifelong mate.
"You’ve been there for so many major firsts in my life. Some of my earliest memories were made with you. We grew up together. Laughed together. Realized our dreams together. And traveled the world together."
Otto went on to describe Rivers as "the godfather to my girls, my best friend-my brother," adding, "There will never be another you."
The band have continued performing with bassist Richie Buxton filling in on the road, but they've made it clear Rivers remains at the heart of every show.
"We’re going to honor the life you lived and the love you spread with every show we play. You’ll always be with us."
A beautiful tribute to a bloke whose fingerprints are all over Limp Bizkit's story. Rest easy, Sam.
