Limp Bizkit’s first-ever show in Greece looked like absolute chaos at Release Athens Festival, and the bird’s-eye footage of the crowd is bloody impressive.

At first glance, though, plenty of people had no idea they were even looking at a concert.

The video shows a massive overhead shot of thousands of fans surging, splitting, and colliding in giant mosh pits as Limp Bizkit tear through their set. From that angle, the crowd movement looks less like a rock gig and more like someone accidentally zoomed in on an ant colony.

Of course, because it's 2026 and nobody trusts anything anymore, another debate quickly kicked off over whether the footage was AI-generated.

Some viewers reckoned people appeared to be running backwards, merging together, or randomly disappearing. Festival-goers and local fans were quick to shut that down, explaining the weird effect comes from the low-resolution overhead camera, the sped-up footage, and the unusual angle Release Athens regularly uses to film its crowds.

The video was posted to the festival’s official social media pages, with the caption: “This is what thousands of people losing their minds to Limp Bizkit looks like🔥First show in Greece. History was made!”

Loads of comments compared the energy to 1999, back when Limp Bizkit were at the peak of their powers and mosh pits looked like organised warfare. Greek fans were also proudly pointing out that this is pretty standard behaviour when rock and metal bands roll through town.

Alongside Fred Durst and co, the festival's anniversary season features other huge acts like Pantera, Megadeth, The Offspring, Gorillaz, and more.

Ya love to see it.
