Lil Wayne was a no-show at his latest concert in Bangor, Maine.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the rapper, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, skipped his performance at the Bangor Waterfront with no explanation given as to his absence.

The outlet reported that Wayne was supposed to follow 2 Chainz's set at 10:45 pm.

The opening act performed as scheduled. A DJ then played for several hours. However, at 11 pm, the audience was told the A Milli musician wouldn't be performing and that the show was therefore ending.

Waterfront Concerts president Alex Gray issued an apology to fans and said this was the first time this had ever happened to him.

No explanation was offered from the Wayne camp until Wednesday, when he issued a statement on his Instagram Stories.

"My Maine fans, I'm so sorry. The show is being rescheduled to 28 July. Please hold on to your tickets; they will be honoured for the rescheduled date. More information will be emailed directly to ticket holders," he wrote.

Wayne continued, "I ain't s**t without you. I can't wait to come back and give you the show you deserve. Thanks for the inquiry."

This isn't the first time the rapper has not turned up for a show. In August 2025, he cancelled a Toronto performance after fans were already packed into the venue.

He also dropped out of a California gig at the last minute in 2024, and in 2023 he walked offstage in Los Angeles only minutes into a concert.
