Lewis Hamilton credits Kim Kardashian as making him 'happier'

Lewis Hamilton has spoken about new girlfriend, Kim Kardashian.

The racing driver, 41, was speaking at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix.

A fan in the crowd asked, "You've been a happier man recently why's that? Could that be a girlfriend?"

Broadcaster David Croft joked, "You know why he's asking? He just needs to know if Kimi needs two towels or not."

He was referring to the incident at the Monaco Grand Prix when Kardashian "stole" a towel that had been left out for Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli, who beat Hamilton in the race.

Hamilton laughed, "Yeah that's a good one," before crediting his team with helping him achieve what he wanted to. "Once you spend a year with this team, Ferrari is the most iconic team of all time, and they've had a difficult period of time. It's such an amazing team and they've been so welcoming. The first year was obviously very tough but to finally see the hard work we've been putting in, it's finally get us back to where we want to be," he said.

He then returned to the original question, answering the fan, "And of course, of course it's Kim."

Hamilton was first linked to Kardashian earlier this year and they went public at the Monaco Grand Prix in June. The pair have been friends for several years. Hamilton has previously dated Nicole Scherzinger and Sofía Vergara.
