Lewis Capaldi has officially kicked off his New Zealand return, playing to a packed Christchurch crowd where he revealed, telling fans he’s now “in the best form of his life”.

With Auckland up next, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your night at Spark Arena.

Expect the iconic Lewis vibes, featuring zero flashy production, just a polo shirt, his incredible voice, a lot of humour and a heap of emotion.

Set Times:

  • 4:00 pm – Merch caravan opens outside on the plaza

  • 6:00 pm – Doors open

  • 7:00 pm – Show starts with Jude Kelly and Ireland’s newest export, Aaron Rowe, both of whom have incredible vocals

Our Christchurch office pals gave us the heads up that Lewis came on stage just before 9 pm when he was there on Sunday.

Public Transport:

  • Britomart Station is a 10–15 minute walk (bus/train/ferry connections)

  • Inner Link Bus stops on Beach Road, also 10–15 minutes away

  • Ferries from Downtown drop you close enough for a cruisy stroll

Driving:

Although there is no on-site parking, there are several paid parking facilities within walking distance. Including: Mahuhu Crescent, Te Taou Crescent (Railway Car Park), Britomart, Tangihua Street, Ronayne Street.

It’s best to check the NZTA for any motorway closures before you head in.

However, if you want to save any hassle of finding your car afterwards, Uber and Taxi can drop you off near the arena on Quay Street.

Security:

  • Bags must be smaller than 30cm x 30cm

  • No pro cameras, iPads, tripods, or selfie sticks

  • Spark Arena is smoke-free and vape-free inside

  • If someone arrives too intoxicated, they may not be let in
