Get ready to send it for a stellar Waitangi Weekend! Laneway Festival is locked and loaded for Auckland’s Western Springs Stadium, this year happening the day before Waitangi on Thursday, 5th February.
From Chappell Roan’s headlining set to crucial transport updates and road closures, here is how to make the most of this massive festie!
Set Times
Gates open:12:30 PM
Finish time: 10PM
The Box Office will be open from 12PM if you have any ticketing issues.

Parking and Transport
There are no public event buses or trains for Laneway this year, so plan ahead with the AT Journey Planner to find the best route. If you prefer to drive, watch out for the Parking Restrictions on the map here surrounding Western Springs.
Public Transport: Use the AT Journey Planner to find the best route.
Trains: The nearest station is Baldwin Avenue (approx. 15-minute walk).
Buses: Frequent services run along Great North Road. Note that there will be bus detours and stop closures after 8:30 PM.
Post-Show Shuttles: From 9:30 PM, express shuttles will run from Great North Road (outside the Lakeside) back to Britomart. You can pre-purchase shuttle tickets via Ticketek.

Things to note
To make it easy to enter Laneway when the gates open, keep the following in mind:
Your Ticket: Digital only via the Ticketek App. Barcodes usually unlock 24–48 hours before gates open. This is a strictly 18+ event.
Bag Check: Security will be conducting bag searches at the Stadium Road entrance. Save yourself the hassle and check the full Conditions of Entry. Bags are no larger than an A4 piece of paper.
Prohibited Items:
Glass or breakable containers
Cans or metal canisters
Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles
Chairs (folding, portable, camping) or any other furniture
Anything studded or spiked (belts, wristbands, etc.) or large chains
Weapons of any kind
Flares, fireworks, smoke bombs, or any other explosive devices
Alcohol
Illicit drugs or paraphernalia
Professional cameras (with detachable lenses)
Umbrellas (bring a plastic poncho or raincoat instead)
Drones
Re-Entry Policy: Once you're in, you're in. There are no pass-outs, so plan accordingly.
Weather Preparedness: The festival will run rain or shine. Check the forecast and dress best for the weather!
Hydration: Free drinking water stations are available throughout the site. You can bring a clear, empty water bottle (non-metal) to fill up and stay hydrated.
ID Requirements: Since the event is 18+, ensure you bring a valid photo ID. Accepted forms include a current passport, New Zealand photo driver's licence, or Kiwi Access Card.
