Kmart's new microwave toastie maker is going viral for changing the girl dinner game

How is it not soggy af?!

We all know the struggle of wanting to whip up a quick meal in the form of a classic cheese toastie but the hassle of the cool down and clean up just makes you question whether it really is the easiest way to go.

Kmart's new microwave Toastie Maker is going viral for being more efficient but also super cheap - $19.

So much so, that they're selling out for being the next best thing since, well, sliced bread.

After soft-launching instore, the product has taken off on TikTok with one person sharing a video, asking: "What is this Witch Craft?"

The TikToker then explains how simple it works, placing her sandwich inside the silicone-covered hot plates and popping it into the microwave for just three minutes before revealing a surprisingly crisp toastie.

We weren't the only ones wondering how it could possibly be THAT crispy from a microwave with one person commenting: "I was fully expecting the bread to be soggy."

Another agreed, adding: "How is it getting crispy I'm so confused I thought it would be soggy af"

Others were confused about how the kitchen tool isn't wrecking the microwave.

"I'm so confused about how the microwave isn't exploding isn't aluminium metal?"

And while we were all thinking it, rest assured the device is actually made from a special polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating said to be safe for microwaves 1000W or less.

It's also safe for the dishwasher, which means for a lazy cleaner like myself, it's ideal. Because who really has the time to wipe up all the oily and crusty cheese leftovers spilling out the side of your machine?
