Aussie Kmart shoppers have been snapping up a new viral bomber jacket so fast it’s almost constantly sold out - and now it’s officially landing on shelves in Aotearoa.
The Suedette Oversized Bomber Jacket in melt brown has been flying off shelves across the ditch and has already secured the title of winter wardrobe “must-have” for 2025.
It’s not suuuuper cheap at $49 ($52 NZD), but it is considered a bloody steal compared to designer brands like Zara selling similar styles for up to $429.

And it’s not 100% suede leather like the higher-end jackets, but the Kmart one definitely looks the part - made from a mix of PU, polyester, cotton, pongee and suedette.
It’s got a spread collar, balloon sleeves with buttoned cuffs, patch pockets, and a zip front.
The ‘Two Broke Chicks’ podcast said it has become so popular that Google Search results for the bomber skyrocketed by 250%.
Kmart NZ told rova: “We’ve seen major hype and excitement from shoppers in Australia for this piece and we’re pleased to announce it will be hitting New Zealand shelves this month.”
They’re calling it “a season must-have”.
The jacket will be available around the country from June 13.
So if you’re keen to jump on the bomber buzz, maybe don’t muck around... something tells me these won’t be hanging around for long.
