Jack Black has been spotted back in Aotearoa, filming a movie and making locals laugh - something he knows how to do best.
The actor has been seen filming scenes for the upcoming sequel to 'A Minecraft Movie', reportedly titled ‘Obsidian’, in the Thames Valley, after locals quickly spotted a very random-looking truck rolling through town.
A TikTok video doing the rounds shows the actor - who plays Steve in the Minecraft universe - behind the wheel of a decked out Steve's Lava Chicken truck, smiling and waving a crowd of locals watching all the action.
Naturally, Minecraft fans immediately started questioning what the truck could actually mean for the sequel, because anyone who’s played the game before knows there are definitely no cars in Minecraft.
“Prob advertising because there is no cars in Minecraft OR this is for the real world parts,” one person commented.
Others were more focused on the possibility of getting their hands on some legit lava chicken.
“Is that a lava chicken food truck?” one person asked.
“Is he selling lava chicken?” another added.
Another video shared on TikTok shows Jack skipping through the streets of Thames carrying an umbrella and portable speaker.
“He’s so sexy,” one guy can be heard saying in the background.
“Bruh it’s so funny seeing celebrities just going about their days in NZ 😂😂😂,” one commenter wrote.
Another added: “He's doing side quests at this point.. Bro looks like he's having a great time though.”
“I feel at this point he just lives in NZ,” someone else joked.
Meanwhile, Jack’s co-star Jason Momoa - who honestly IS an honorary Kiwi - was also spotted over the weekend partying with locals at a pub in Queenstown.
The actor invited locals to The Bunker bar for his own DJ set of a mix of jazz and soul tunes.
Honestly, we’ll never complain about huge celebrities choosing NZ for their side quests - we just want the invites to be a part of it all!
