A social media outfit calling themselves 'City Slikkas' is gaining momentum for their unhinged behaviour in public, most recently for taking a dip on the roof of a mall.
A clip on the page, which has just over 2k followers, shows a young fella stripping off to his jocks and jumping into the rooftop water feature at Newmarket's Westfield Mall in Auckland.
Really adding to the spectacle is the fact that the water is held in a glass-bottomed tank on the fourth level of the mall , which can be viewed from the ceiling of all the floors below it.
"Just a daily reminder that no one cares," the clip was captioned, although the fact that shoppers were filming the moment themselves seems to show some did.
At the time of writing, the reel has nearly 3 million views and over 400 comments, many of which say they've wanted to do something similar.
"You lived my dream," one read.
"You just executed the biggest intrusive thought," said another.
"Everyone thought about it but mans actually did it," a third read.
Others cringed at the potential danger of the prank, with one writing: “OMG if that glass breaks, you're dead. That is freaky as shit."
Another asked: "How long did it take for security to come?" while one thought the water had "probably not been touched since the mall opened".
"Pls don't do this," someone else said.
In a statement to the Herald, City Slikkas said they only wanted to "spread joy" and weren't "trying to piss anyone off".
"We are a positive group," they said, adding that police had been called to the mall in response to their stunt, but they "managed to slick away quick".
Other stunts on the page include "human bowling" and one member of the group pouring a two-litre bottle of milk over himself at a busy intersection on Auckland's Queen Street.
Earlier this month, City Slikkas shared a video of two of them jumping off part of the Harbour Bridge, which Waka Kotahi labelled "illegal and dangerous".
What do we reckon - all a bit of fun or likely to end in tears?
